The Kinover-Mar line wasn't originally like so. There was the Mar family, and the Kinover family, seperate but equal, with a common tongue, Al Bhed.
The families were equal yes, but they didn't combine, due to differences.
The Mar family ruled Haven City, since they built it from the ground up. The Kinover family ruled The Holy City, because they built it from the ground up. They did have differences, but it wasn't to the point of war. For both families, they always chose mates for their children. For Haven City, it was to secure a future heir. For The Holy City, it was to secure the future period. For centuries, this law was never challenged, until several centuries later.
Kayline Kinover[]
The newest Kinover, Kayline, wanted a man who wasn't chosen for her. She was a high-spirited, stubborn girl who always seemed to cause trouble for those around her. Her and her friends would go outside the city limits and train, and Kayline would wander off, to explore. When she did that, her friends would follow. When they went too far, they would get into trouble, but they handled it with their combined strength. When they would return, they would get into trouble for wandering off. Kayline always fought for her and her friends' side, and then they would end up leaving the building.
Every year, when the girl or boy of each family is of certain age, they betroth them, without freedom of choice.
When Kayline discovered this, she was only 13, and she ran away from home, into another city, called Haven. There she met Zionala Mar, the young prince of that city.
From several months of hiding their relationship from everyone, they eloped in secret, knowing their parents wouldn't allow it. After a year of happiness, the duo then grew sick.
They each called their families, and from there the truce and bond was made.
They both died, but before that, they had a child, and that child was named Kikita.
Kikita Kinover-Mar[]
Kikita was a stubborn woman, much like her mother, who, like her daughter Keira, was adept in combat and was kind at heart. Much like her mother, she was always was a curious being, wanting to see the world beyond boundaries, and to find love. As she was bethrothed to another, she fell for the warrior, Sigrid, and they bore Keira. Before she and Sigrid, and before her bethrothal, she grew into a mature, kind-hearted woman, with a firm fist and tolerance. She was murdered by the family's nemesis, Erison, the God of Chaos. Just before she died, she teleported Keira away, without her even knowing she did so, and Sigrid to go into hiding.
